Regulations for quality control such as ISO 9000, Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) or standard operating procedures in the pharmaceutical industry as required by the most important pharmacopeias (EP, DAB, USP), require a regular performance testing of the UV/Vis spectrophotometers used. These checks include the testing of the resolution, the wavelength accuracy as well as the testing of stray light and photometric accuracy.
